LE MANS 24 HOURS The 2009 Le Mans 24 Hours saw Michelin claim its 12th consecutive win (and its 18th in total).  The Peugeot 908 HDI FAP–Michelin came 1st and 2nd ahead of an Audi R15 TDI–Michelin. The 77th Le Mans 24 Hours saw Michelin tyres demonstrate their competitiveness, durability and consistency. 
Michelin partners won all four categories: - Peugeot-Michelin in LMP1
- Porsche–Michelin (Team Essex) in LMP2
- Corvette–Michelin in GT1
- Ferrari–Michelin (Risi Competizione) in GT2
The Team Essex Porsche RS Spyder contested the race in the livery of the Michelin Green X Challenge which it won in addition to coming first in the LMP2 category. LE MANS SERIES Michelin unbeaten since 2004  2009: the title for Aston Martin Racing–Michelin and five wins from five for Michelin partners. The MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge was won by Speedy Racing Team Sebah which earned it a place on the grid for the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours. AMERICAN LE MANS SERIES Michelin continued to dominate the ALMS and notched up its 100th win since 1999.  Michelin partners have won all the ALMS crowns since the series was first organised. The 2009 title was won by Michelin-equipped Acuras in LMP1 and LMP2. Audi R15 TDI-Michelin won March’s 12 Hours of Sebring, while Peugeot came first and second in the Petit Le Mans. The MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge was won by Acura in the prototype class and by Porsche in GT. ASIAN LE MANS SERIES  This one-meeting series took place in Okayama, Japan, and featured two three-hour races. Victory went to the Pescarolo-Michelin ahead of Aston Martin-Michelin. The inaugural Asian LMS MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge was won by Ibanez Racing (Race 1) and Drayson Racing/Michelin (Race 2). FIA GT Five manufacturers share the six titles in the three categories  GT1: the Bartels/Bertolini Maserati-Michelin claimed the title for the second year running. The racing was very close between the Maseratis, Corvettes and Saleens.  GT2: the Driver’s crown was won by Collard/Westbrook (Porsche-Michelin), while the Teams’ title went to AF Corse (Ferrari-Michelin).  GT3: the Drivers’ title in this category, which permitted open competition between tyre manufacturers, was won by the crew of the Audi R8-Michelin. The Teams’ title went to the Hexis Racing AMR-tended Aston Martin DBR9. The GT1 series becomes an official World Championship in 2010. SUPER GT (JAPAN) Michelin took part officially in this discipline where the competition between tyre firms is particularly fierce (notably Bridgestone). Michelin was present in the GT500 category after a six-year absence.  Michelin won its first race at Sepang with the N°3 HASEMI TOMICA EBBRO GT-R after just four rounds. Michelin partners came 2nd at Suzuka and 6th at Fuji. Nissan-Michelin finished sixth in the Teams’ standings. FIM ENDURANCE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP  A world title for YART (Yamaha-Michelin). The 2009 Le Mans 24 Hours saw Michelin partners come first and second, with YART finishing ahead of the Honda France bike. YART went on to win the eight-hour races at Öschersleben and Albacete before securing 4th place at Suzuka and 35th spot in the Bol d’Or (after a mechanical problem). YART ended its 2009 campaign with victory in Qatar.  The Michelin Power Research Team Michelin ran a bike in its own colours under the Michelin Power Research Team banner. This bike served as a high-speed test facility and enabled Michelin to undertake valuable tyre development work. This sort of work goes on to benefit our racing partners, as well as users of Michelin road tyres. The MPRT bike turned out to be very competitive and finished inside the top-ten in the 8 Hours of Öschersleben, came 4th at Albacete, and qualified on pole position at Le Mans and in the Bol d’Or. SPANISH SPEED RACING CHAMPIONSHIP (CEV) Michelin’s first official participation in this series. Ivan Silva (Kawasaki-Michelin) came third in the 1,000cc category which saw Michelin partners win three races. In the 600cc category, Michelin tyres scored one win, but more notably went on to come second in the final standings with Adrian Bonastre (Kawasaki-Michelin). Michelin will be the control tyre supplier in Spain’s Moto2 series (600cc) in 2010. MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Antonio Cairoli (Yamaha-Michelin) was the MX1 World Champion. It was his first MX1 title, but his third world crown in total with Michelin after his previous MX2 successes in 2005 and 2007. TRIAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Tony Bou (Montesa HRC-Michelin) won both the Trial Indoor and Outdoor world titles in 2009. ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Mena won the Junior world title riding a Husaberg-Michelin. BMW and Michelin notched up two wins with Salminen in E2, finishing second in the championship standings. Michelin partners finished in the top-three in E1 and E3.
